Setting up payouts
Payouts go through Stripe Connect. You connect an account once, and every future transfer lands in it automatically.
What you do
- Open Payouts in the console.
- Click Connect with Stripe. You are handed off to Stripe's own onboarding.
- Fill in what Stripe asks for — typically your legal name or business details, an address, a tax identifier, and the bank account to be paid into.
- You are returned to the console. The status shows verified once Stripe is satisfied.
Verification is usually minutes. It can take longer if Stripe asks for documents.
The whole flow happens on Stripe's side. We receive a status — whether payouts are enabled — and nothing else.
You can host before this is done
Earnings accrue from your very first job, whether or not payouts are connected. An unconnected account only blocks the transfer, and the balance goes out on the first cycle after Stripe clears you.
That said, connecting it early avoids the surprise of a cycle passing with money sitting still.
If the status is not verified
Stripe usually says exactly what is missing. The common ones:
- Documents requested — an ID or proof of address, uploaded through Stripe.
- Bank account rejected — wrong number, or an account type Stripe cannot pay into in your country.
- Details incomplete — a step was skipped. Reopen the onboarding link and finish it.
Reopen the flow from Payouts in the console at any time to fix these.
Supported countries
Whatever Stripe Connect supports for your account type. If Stripe can pay out to your country, so can we.
Changing your bank account
Do it in Stripe, not in the console. Your details live with them, and a change takes effect from your next payout.
